Who are the linlithgow Business Association?
We are an association of businesses in the Linlithgow area, who meet with the intention of sharing knowledge, making contacts and promoting/protecting business in the town.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
To provide a regular meeting point for professional and business men and women who operate businesses in the Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge area.
To increase communication with regards to business and local events affecting one or all of the association members.
To increase opportunities for social contacts.
To meet others in similar circumstances and to provide a platform for debate.
To facilitate members to voice their opinions collectively
To collectively lobby local/national government agencies where appropriate
Who can be a member?
MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall be made open to all businesses operating in Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge involved in the retailing and provision of a professional service to the public at large.
There is no stipulation for members to reside in the geographical area of the association.
No sponsorship of any kind is required to become a member of the association.
Is there a membership fee?
SUBSCRIPTIONS
The annual subscription fee is currently £25 (2008-2009).
New members joining after October will be eligible for a 50% discount, with full renewal in April
The annual subscription shall be determined by the membership at the AGM (in March) and the subscription shall be due at the start of April.

What does the membership fee pay for?
General administration of the association (such as photocopying, stamps, website etc)
Rental/subsidising of meeting places
Guest speakers
Subsidising social events for members
Such subsidies, advertising, sponsorships etc as may be approved by the committee from time to time.
Each member also receives a membership graphic to display in windows and a free link to their own website from this website.
